Baserri Shotguns began simply with a dream, a dream of two founders. Wayne Rodrigue and I wanted to create the best Shotgun Company in the world, not the biggest, just the best. So we scoured Europe to find the proper partners to bring something to the market that has been missing.

The missing piece in the shotgun world is a Shotgun so well made with “Work of Art” aesthetics that can be affordable to every Shotgun Enthusiasts. We tried to design a Shotgun that is unique in both its Look and its Quality. As you spend more time learning about our guns you will find several features that will only be available in the United States on Baserri Shotguns. This was done intentionally because we wanted to create the best made Shotgun in the United States.

To understand the thinking of Baserri Shotguns you must first look into the meaning of the names associated with the company.

     A “baserri” is a rustic European country home away from others, normally located on a hillside. These homes are smart in design, built to last the generations, and a beautiful part of their environment. In America we often view these homes as Hunting Lodges. This was the perfect name to launch the company.
“Shotguns” is included in the name because that is all we do, and that is all we will ever do. We are Shotgun People. We will leave the rifles and pistols to the folks that are passionate about them. We are extremely passionate about Shotguns.

     “Mari” is an ancient Goddess of Thunder. She is known across Europe as being Strong in Spirit, Powerful in Action, very beautiful to behold, and well, a bit noisy. When looking for the perfect name for our Shotgun, MARI fit perfectly.

Lastly our motto is “Experience the Hunt through the Gun.” We believe this is true for today’s hunters. We spend our lives rushing and chasing life as it comes. We want to help all hunters slow down, enjoy the baserri before the hunt, enjoy the dogs and the camaraderie during the hunt, enjoy the feel of the shotgun as it floats to your shoulder, and enjoy the hunting stories later back at the baserri.
